    • Good tricks to help you remember

by Mark A. Lopez (san antonio, texas) - 2009-01-28  Rated 4 stars
I thought this book was great. Exactly what I was looking for. I don't have a lot of time to waste reading about the intracacies of the brain and memory. I just wanted some guidance on how I could improve my day to day memorization. This book outlined a handful of ideas that I could immediately take away and use in my daily life. I thought the recommendation to 'budget your cognitive energy' was a great idea. and I like the fact that the author gives so many different ways to try to remember things. The book is short and to-the-point. Good deal for the price.

    • Some good points

by JaxBiz (Jacksonville , FL) - 2008-05-16  Rated 2 stars
This book has some good points and some helpful techniques, but they could have been summed up in an article rather than a book. I would say do not waste your time but the book is a one day read and may be helpful. The used prices are not bad either. I was looking for something with more content and would have definitely bought a different book.

    • Where's the Beef?

by C. Williams (Denver, Colorado United States) - 2008-03-09  Rated 2 stars
This little book has little substance to improve memory. I found the book to be quite general and subjective and more directed to how the brain handles memory. There was little in the way of process or procedure that I found helpful in improving memory. Very disappointing book.

    • Don't waste your money and time

      by H. Rios (USA) - 2007-08-02  Rated 1 stars
I really have to wonder about the people that are recommending this book. At 143 pages, the author wasted 3/4s of the book on "interesting" facts and the rest of it on what the title claims to provide, "techniques to improve memory..." Very dissapointing. You are better off buying some good books on relaxation and breathing techniques and some word-puzzles.

    • Entertainingly Informative

by D. J. Shiloh (San Mateo, CA USA) - 2007-06-27  Rated 5 stars
The author is knowledgeable and entertaining! He is a totally likable guy with a lot of well supported statistics on how our brains work. He guides simply and gives common sense commentary on our concern for memory maintenance. Good book for everyone interested in keeping their brain in order!
