The author applies a no-nonsense approach to dieting, exercising, disease treating, and other aspects of everyday life. Our looks, longevity, as well as our physical and mental conditions result from the way we eat, breathe, and take care of all our physical and psychological needs. The question is not limited to nutrition only, as is the case of dieting programs.

Great book that everybody should have in their library. I tried several healing therapies and they worked like majic. I used lemon therapy which in one week desolved my kidney stone that was 12mm X 8mm in diametar, lowered my triglicerides from 263 to 70, cholesterol from 221 to 170...amazing!!!!

    • Neither good, neither bad

I bought this book a month or so ago, and firstly, I was quite impressed by a reasonably fast delivery from States to the UK. This book is NOT 100% scientifically proven health advice, yet some of the recommendations do make sense. I've picked out some advice that I like/suits my lifestyle (avoiding red meat/milk) and ignore the rest (like drinking structured water or doing enemas and similar). I'm rather new to all this healthy lifestyle and dieting books/advice etc., as I'm only 28 years old and never had any serious health problems despite of a bit of fatigue now and then, though with the years passing by I am sure a healthier lifestyle/diet (or a bit of an effort) won't do any harm to anyone. Maybe there are better similar books, but I've picked this one up and I am satisfied with my choice and Amazon service. Regards, Daiva

    • Best no-nonsense book I have read in a long time

by Maureen Sidley (Reno, NV) - 2010-03-31  Rated 5 stars
This book lays it all out in a step by step form. Easy to follow and written so that the laymen can understand. Thank you, thank you. Read this book once quickly as I thought it was going to be like many others I have read. Not so! Have now gone back and read and re-read as I progress in my conversion to a better way of eating and living. It not only gives good scientific information but includes the importance of food combining, eastern medicine and help with the overall cleansing and maintaining of the body. Now I know why he calls it "Your Body Maintenance Handbook". It is a handbook for life.
